If the product was limited why choosing heavily industries?

If the product was limited why choosing heavily industries? This question occur when the origin country of brand diecast doesn't produce the diecast in their home country anymore. Instead they are all know choosing China for mass production. But why? The product itself often produced below 3000 and 4000 pieces per 1 model diecast, because they said it in the diecast box about limited pieces or even limited edition.

Does it really not efficient anymore? To be honest now there are still large number market of people that want diecast from the origin country not from China. Made in Japan is one of the brand that people are still looking for. Off course if there are any made in Europe or US.

Company like TOMY/TOMICA co. already moved their base production to China or Vietnam almost already for 20 years now (Vietnam just 10 years). The question is: is their production really exclusive anymore like they made TOMICA DANDY and black box or Tomy red?

Selling Diecast in Slowed Economic Condition.

It is hard to sell some of my diecast collection in slowed economic condition. Since the diecast itself especially collector item is get influenced  by inflation.
But the rich people is out there for sure. Because several collection with high price already being sold.
And the phenomenon is small scale although relatively cheap is not more interesting than the middle or big scale.

I hope it will be different in new year. This year starts April we already sell 15 collection. And next year we targeted reach selling in about Rp. 50.000.000,- or in US dollar $4000.

And I have experience with packaging. Package must be safe for diecast inside. Bubble wrap is main thing. And also how to determine the package volume and weight package after the packaging is done because it is related with courier fee.

Try to restore diecast

I really want to restore these two diecast car. But I don't have brush equipment and any related to that. So I might try another method to restore or to customize it. Maybe by using simple painting. Let see.

Way we get diecast from abroad

Way we get diecast from abroad

Diecast car is 100% imported things. So far as I know there is no diecast metal production in my country, maybe diecast made from plastic is product that being produced in my country.
So way we get diecast from abroad:
1. Friends that going abroad.
2. Buy from people that going abroad and intentionally to buy several diecast in order to sell in their store.
3. Buy from diecast community leader because he or she can get a channel to diecast trading.
4. When we visiting other country or going abroad.
5. Buy from importers and also they whom always buy online.
6. Buy from toys distributor that include diecast in their list. This is where we find diecast in public toys store.
7. We buy it online from international online store.

National Standardization for imported toys/diecast

My country now has announce regulation for import toys that must have the national standardization certificate for toys including diecast (foreign like CE). But somehow the hot topic now is become unsure about toys or hobby/collected item because I heard that why this regulation happen is to protect the children and only for toys that used to be played for those whom under 14 years (really?). As far as I'm concerned that mostly diecast is already have the certification, not like massive import toys from China. So this is going to affect the price of diecast (distributor source). It is going to be tough now. Although personal buyer which buy not more than 3 pieces from online purchases will be excluded (not sure really) but in the real cases if not by extra money i'm sure that the toys are hard to claim. I believe our collection will not be much to showed in this blog. But we try our best.

Diecast is categorized as toys or hobby/collected item?

Once a week Market for selling diecast car

This photo is taken by my friend when he intended to show the situation of diecast market..well actualy a toy and goods market. The market is only happen once a week. The interesting is this place is far from the center of entertainment or leisure. This is located somewhere in South Kalimantan borneo island far  from capital province Jakarta.

Most of the collection is Hotwheels and other from the brand of China manufacturer. Is not so awkward or strange about this situation but for me diecast collecting is a rare hobby in my country. So I guess it become common thing for this diecast car collecting or just a toy.

Diecast Book: TOMICA LIFE 1970-2005

It is important as collectors to have a book related with his/her hobby or things that collected. So it can be a guidance for selecting later if we're to go buy the collection.
This is a book to celebrate 35 years TOMICA for the contribution to produce varoius car model or diecast.
